David Best provides core expertise on FBO, airport infrastructure and business aviation with over 16 years in the business and commercial aviation sector following a career in supply chain and marketing. He has worked extensively across USA, Asia Pacific and Europe and Africa.
David started his aviation career with Menzies Aviation in a development role based at the UK head office. He subsequently joined Signature Flight Support in 2004 as Managing Director, Europe, Middle East and Africa, where he managed the development of their 23 location European Fixed Base Operation (FBO) network from London, UK. During this time he both opened and acquired businesses in the UK, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland and South Africa. He was promoted to the role of Chief Commercial Officer in 2009 at the Divisional Head Office in Florida, USA where he formed the commercial team consisting of sales, marketing, revenue management and brand extension for this $1bn business spanning 120 FBOs and 1 million business and general aviation arrivals annually.
In 2012 David assumed the position of President BBA Aviation Asia Pacific in Singapore. In this role he headed up the strategic development of the FBO, commercial groundhandling, engine repair, and component repair businesses in the Region. During his time in Asia he worked extensively in Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong and also evaluated businesses in Australia, Philippines and Brunei. He was also Board member of Hong Kong Business Aviation Centre for 10 years through its growth and development .
Since 2015 David has acted as Principal at Claymore Hill Advisory, working on business and aviation projects globally. He enjoys a Board advisory position with TrainingPort.net, a market leading business aviation training provider, serves as Vice Chairman of the Asian Business Aviation Association and sits on the Governing Board of the International Business Aviation Council. A graduate of the University of Strathclyde earning BA (Hons) and an MBA, David is now based out of the USA but spends significant time in both Europe and Asia.
Steve has 31 years’ experience in the aviation industry, he is an owner/Director of Emerald VIP, an Aviation Support Services business based in Ireland, and provides expertise to Claymore Hill on FBO and Ground Service structure. Previous to joining Emerald worked for 10 years for BBA Aviation Flight Support a UK based PLC. where as Director he held responsibility for sales and business development for both Signature Flight Support and Aircraft Services International Group. Prior to that he was Regional Vice President Operations for Signatures European bases. He has also worked for prestigious aircraft organisations including The Queens Flight UK, Dubai Royal Flight and Abu Dhabi Presidential Flight. He has a proven track record in both start-ups and developing FBOs in the Middle East, Russia and Europe. He enjoys long standing relationships with a number of aircraft operators flying HNWI as well as all the key international trip planning companies.
Yufeng Guo has 12 years experiences working with both American and Chinese central and local governments, and with international companies, State-Owned Enterprises, and private firms. Mr. Guo excels in finding relevant subject matter experts for the right project, providing most valuable deliverables, and managing projects and communication across different business and cultural customs. Mr. Guo has worked for CAAC, Air China, China Southern, 6 Chinese airports, AVIC, GAMECO, China Merchants Bank Leasing, Beijing General Aviation Group, and Airbus, BBA, Michelin, among other clients.
Before Mr. Guo's career in aviation consulting, he worked for the American Planning Association as a Policy Associate for the China Program, which successfully trained over 300 Chinese mayors in the US for best practices in city planning. After that, Mr. Guo worked for Leo A Daly, a large international design firm, as the China Chief Representative, developing business for architectural design for airports, offices, hotels, residential, and other types of buildings.
Mr. Guo has a Master degree from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor degree from Shanghai Tongji University. He is fluent in English, Chinese Mandarin, and Cantonese.
Michael S. Dennis
Michael Dennis provides core expertise and experience in developing aviation projects in emerging markets. Michael has led projects in India, Latvia, Ukraine and Italy primarily through Aviation Resource Group International, an affiliated company of Claymore Hill Advisory.
Michael specializes in integrating top US/European FBO/MRO best practices, recommending and implementing standard operating procedures for discerning VIP clientele in emerging markets. He has led projects in places where there is little, or no, concept of what an FBO/MRO is, from the viewpoint of internationally required FBO/MRO operating standards.
Michael’s specialties include: document management and production; market research and analysis; employee recruitment/placement; best practices training; airport/FBO/MRO master planning; project management; business planning and quantitative analysis; marketing strategy and promotion mix.
With a distinctive combination of a general aviation industry knowledge and practical hands-on experience; a proven ability to simplify complex organizational deficiencies and provide significant and gainful solutions, he is experienced in daily FBO operations management. He has authored and co-authored a number of widely circulated business aviation articles.
